Flyzio
Flyzio is a flight-booking app concept focused on making trip planning easier to follow. The case study looks at common points of friction in flight apps and explores interface ideas for a clearer booking experience.
Booking a flight on mobile is often harder than it should be, especially for first-time travelers and less tech-savvy users. Confusing navigation, cluttered screens, and unclear instructions lead to frustration, booking errors, and abandoned checkouts. I started by defining two user personas, a frequent business traveler and a consultant who plans trips in advance, and mapped their habits and frustrations, such as too many steps, hidden fees, and weak payment security. From there I defined the core problems and matched each one with a design solution: a step-by-step flow with clear progress indicators, auto-filled and saved details to cut input effort, and instant booking confirmation with tickets available anytime in the history tab. I then structured the app with an information architecture covering onboarding, search, booking, payment, and ticket management, and mapped the full user flow from search to confirmed reservation. Low-fidelity wireframes set the layout before the visual phase, followed by a defined color palette, Urbanist typography, and complete high-fidelity screens.
